Overview CUBEC
CUBEC is an evolving research centre with a vision to unite a diverse group of collaborators, including scientists, postdoctoral researchers, PhD students, as well as technical and administrative staff. The centre focuses on areas such as macroecology, biogeography, evolutionary biology, ecology, population biology, climate change research, and conservation biology.
It is committed to conducting high-impact research on the patterns and processes that shape life on our planet. Through extensive national and international collaborations, the centre seeks to address critical issues, such as preventing the global extinction of flora and fauna and predicting the impact of climate change on biodiversity. In pursuit of its mission, the centre aims to advance evidence-based management practices and contribute to research, teaching, and service.
Vision
To conduct high-profile research on patterns and process shaping biodiversity on earth.
Mission
To create multidisciplinary knowledge & envision the influence of global climate change on Indian Urban biodiversity, and to design science-based solutions to achieve a harmonious balance between human society and the natural environment.
