About the Ph.D. Programmes offered; How to enrol?
CRFM offers Ph.D. Programmes in Chemistry, Physics, and Nanotechnology that are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become leading researchers in their respective fields. Post-graduates from various fields of science are eligible to apply.
In order to enrol, candidates will undergo an entrance test and an interview process where their proficiency in certain subjects will be evaluated. Depending on their educational background, they may be tested on their understanding of chemistry, nanotechnology or physics at a master's level. Additionally, candidates will be assessed on their command of the English language to ensure that they can effectively articulate their academic accomplishments. The outcome of this test/interview will determine whether or not the candidate is accepted into the Programme.
About the coursework programme
The Ph.D. Programme provides rigorous training for students to become successful independent researchers with both theoretical and practical knowledge. To give students a solid basis in their chosen subjects, our Ph.D. Programme offers extensive coursework. The coursework covers fundamental concepts in the field, such as research methodology/ethics, experimental and characterization techniques, data collection/analysis, and scientific writing. In addition to the core curriculum, students have the flexibility to take specialization courses that align with their research interests and professional goals. At the end of the coursework training, the research Programme includes exams to evaluate the students' knowledge of advanced concepts and their readiness to pursue independent research.

Our faculty, who are leading experts in their respective disciplines, provide hands-on training and mentorship to help students navigate through their research projects. Additionally, the Programme offers guidance and support for publishing research papers in reputed journals, providing students with valuable experience and exposure to the academic publishing process. In addition to academic coursework, our Programmes offer opportunities for students to participate in research seminars, symposiums, conferences and workshops that foster collaboration and community building among students and faculty.
