M. Des Human Centred Design

Course Overview

The School of Design, Media, and Creative Arts at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) stands out as one of the best Human Centred Design colleges in Bengaluru. The Master of Design in Human Centred Design is a dynamic two-year graduate programme that immerses students in the world of innovative design. With a specialised focus on human centred design, this programme equips students with advanced skills and methodologies to excel in crafting holistic and exceptional user experiences across both digital and physical environments.

Using a variety of techniques from complexity science, human factors, ethnomethodology, prototyping, usability engineering, modeling, and simulation, student designers learn how to investigate, analyse, design, and assess extremely complex and dynamic linked systems. Equipped with these abilities, students work in research or industry and are integrated into industrial design teams to apply design thinking to projects like creating multi-agent systems, industrial simulators, cockpits, control rooms and devices, safety-related complex systems, operational procedures and regulations, educational tools and methods, and new living environments.
