Dr. Rani’s research area primarily explored the studies related to the breath-based gas/VOC sensors using conducting polymer nanocomposites for disease diagnosis. Her current research area is focused on new functional materials for water desalination applications. Her research work specifically includes,
Dr. Rani joined as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Centre for Research in Functional Materials (CRFM), Jain University, in November 2023. She graduated (B.Sc.) in Physics in 2001 from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India, where she secured Third Rank in the University. She earned her Post-graduation (M.Sc.) in Physics in 2003 from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India. Dr. Rani earned her Ph.D. in General Sciences (Physics) from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, at the B.M.S. College of Engineering (VTU-Research Centre), where she was supported by a Research Assistantship from TEQIP-1.2.1:World bank funded project. Her doctoral research was dedicated to the synthesis, characterization, and transport properties of conducting polymer nanocomposites for gas sensor applications.
Apart from research, she enjoys travelling to new places, learning new things, spending time with family and friends.
