Dr. Shambhulinga Aralekallu focuses on the development of unique functional materials for clean and sustainable energy technologies. Specifically, his interest lies in advanced electrocatalyst developments for H2 production via electrochemical water splitting, polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFC), lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries, and various electrochemical sensors. These include MN4 macrocycles, transition metal-based materials, hetero-atom-doped carbon materials, conducting polymers, and innovatively combined composite materials.
Dr. Shambhulinga Aralekallu joined the Centre for Research in Functional Materials (CRFM), Jain University, in March 2023. Before that, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Hanyang University, South Korea.
Shambhulinga obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry at the Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ballari, India. During his doctoral degree he received many awards for poster and oral presentations.
He is very fond of exploring new places to understand the diversity of nature, and enjoys books reading and writing.
