Dr. Ananda S. focuses on the synthesis and structural characterization of organic and metal-organic compounds, with an emphasis on nonlinear optical (NLO) and optoelectronic properties. Using crystal growth techniques, spectroscopic methods, and computational modeling (DFT, TD-DFT), his work explores molecular structures, electronic behavior, and charge transfer. He integrates experimental and computational approaches to optimize materials for optical sensors, optical limiting, optical switching applications, and conducts in silico biological simulations to study molecular interactions.
Dr. Ananda S. joined the Centre for Research in Functional Materials (CRFM), JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), in July 2024. He is a dedicated researcher in Physics, specializing in nonlinear optical materials, optoelectronics, and computational methods. He completed his Master's in Physics from the University of Mysore, Karnataka, in 2015, and ranked second in the University of Mysore's Ph.D. entrance exam in 2016. He completed his Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Mysore, focusing on the growth and characterization of nonlinear optical materials. His expertise includes the synthesis of organic and metal-organic compounds, with strong proficiency in spectroscopic techniques. With over six years of research experience and 23 published papers, including 6 as first author, Dr. Ananda has established himself as a promising researcher.
In 2018, he successfully cleared the UGC-JRF (NET) exam in Physical Sciences conducted by the Joint CSIR-UGC. Additionally, one of his research papers was awarded the Best Paper Presentation Award at the National Conference held at SJBIT, Bengaluru.
Ananda enjoys spending his free time catching up with friends and family, going to the movies, and exploring new places.
