Online Course : Fire Engineering

Target Audience : Students and working professionals

Eligibility : Final year students of Bachelors of Engineering (B.E.) Civil / Mechanical / Electrical, Chemistry / Physics or Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.) in any other related discipline.
Duration : 8 weeks (16 modules, each of duration of 30 minutes approximately); A webinar of 1 hour duration every weekend

Topics Covered

The modules are based upon basic fundamentals required to develop a thorough understanding of Fire Dynamics.
These are:

• Thermodynamics of Combustion
• Heat Transfer
• Fluid Mechanics
• Fluid Dynamics
• Active fire suppression techniques
• Passive Fire Suppression techniques
• Modelling fire and smoke propagation
• Introduction to industrial fire safety

Course Faculty : Academicians with relevant background and experience, industry experts and consultants
Examination : An online examination will be conducted at the end of the course followed by issuing of certificates.
